What difference does it make?
I’ll wager it makes a hell of a lot of difference to the families of these men:

…and so are the rest of us that didn’t ask for the bonin’ we are gettin’.
Don’t blame me…I voted for the other guy.
NEWS RELEASEBELLEVUE, WA – Less than 24 hours after winning re-election, President Barack Obama’s administration joined with China, France, Germany and the United Kingdom, and more than 150 other governments, in supporting renewed debate on the proposed United Nations Arms Trade Treaty, confirming the worst fears of the American gun rights community.
The vote came at the U.N. General Assembly’s meeting of the First Committee on Disarmament at the world organization’s headquarters in New York City.
“It’s obvious that our warnings over the past several months have been true,” said Alan Gottlieb, founder and executive vice president of the Second Amendment Foundation. “The election was called about 11 p.m. Tuesday and by 11 a.m. this morning, we got word that the United States was supporting this resolution. We have to be more vigilant in our efforts to stop this proposed treaty.”
SAF Operations Director Julianne Versnel, who has been back and forth to the United Nations over this proposal, said the fight is not finished. The measure will be considered for finalization in March 2013.
“We will continue to monitor this issue and oppose any effort to enforce a global gun control measure,” she stated.
Amnesty International issued a statement Wednesday lauding passage of the resolution, saying the treaty will protect human rights.
“The right of self-defense is a human right,” Gottlieb countered, “and in this country, the Second Amendment protects that right.
“Just days ago as he campaigned for re-election,” he concluded, “Barack Obama told his supporters that voting is the ‘best revenge.’ I guess now we know what he was talking about. The revenge he seeks is against American gun owners and their Second Amendment rights.”
The Second Amendment Foundation (www.saf.org) is the nation’s oldest and largest tax-exempt education, research, publishing and legal action group focusing on the Constitutional right and heritage to privately own and possess firearms. Founded in 1974, The Foundation has grown to more than 650,000 members and supporters and conducts many programs designed to better inform the public about the consequences of gun control. In addition to the landmark McDonald v. ChicagoSupreme Court Case, SAF has previously funded successful firearms-related suits against the cities of Los Angeles; New Haven, CT; New Orleans; Chicago and San Francisco on behalf of American gun owners, a lawsuit against the cities suing gun makers and numerous amicus briefs holding the Second Amendment as an individual right.
-END-
A woman was playing golf when she took a big swing and fell. The party waiting behind her was a group from the White House that included President Obama. Obama quickly stepped forward and helped her to her feet. She thanked him and started to leave, when he said, “I’m President Obama and I hope you’ll vote for me this November.”
She laughed and quickly replied, “I fell on my ass, not my head!”
…I went yesterday to avoid today’s lines. We made the mistake of going on Saturday in 2008 and the lines were atrocious - we spent around four hours in line waiting to vote. I’ll have to take a trip past some of the early voting polling places to see what today’s lines look like.
If you haven’t already voted, please go vote either today or Tuesday. However, please realize at this late stage in the game a “statement vote” or a “conscience vote” is most assuredly NOT the way to go. A vote cast for anyone other than Mitt Romney is pissin’ in the wind and actually is a vote *for* Barack Obama. If that’s not enough to cause you further nightmares, remember that Joe Biden is still only one step away from the Presidency. *shudder*
It’s time to Change It Back.

While I seriously doubt anyone can bring it back…it’s worth a shot…
*Sigh*

Most excellent parody.
The bad choices you make “first time” or otherwise will haunt you and the rest of us for the rest of our lives. Not to mention our children’s and grandchildren’s lives…
