The Arizona Latino Republican Association will become the first Hispanic organization in the country to actively oppose the Department of Justice’s lawsuit against the state of Arizona’s new immigration law.“

Larry Klayman, founder of Freedom Watch, Inc., said he will be joined by ALRA Chairman Jesse Hernandez and members of the Phoenix Law Enforcement Association at an announcement Thursday morning in Phoenix.

ALRA will become the first group of Latino Americans to “put a foot forward legally” in support of S.B. 1070 by filing a motion to intervene against the Justice Department’s lawsuit challenging Arizona’s immigration policy, Klayman said.” – FOXNews.com for more

What I found truly disturbing was this comment – it just goes all gushy-touchy-feelie without once understanding the true issue –

Benito, what you and many others fail to comprehend is that most of us welcome legal immigrants with open arms. But since you brought up rights and diminished rights, let’s take a look at that first – the only thing that should matter is do you have a legal right to be where you are? A US citizen whether natural born or naturalized has a right to be here. A person that is here by virtue of an illegal border crossing has no right to be here. The color of your skin, your religion, the country you were born in are all of no consequence  – if you violated immigration law in getting here, you have no right to be here. If you are not here legally, you don’t have a horse in this race – hence no diminished rights.

If I were to enter your house or apartment without your permission, would I be breaking the law? Yup.
How about your TV or your car – is it OK if I take them? No? I didn’t think so.
Is it OK if someone rapes your wife, girlfriend or you? Nope.
See, there are laws against those types of things, just as there are laws against illegal immigration.
How is it that someone who is illegally on US soil should just be forgiven?

1)    Do it legally. Apply for a work visa. Don’t just hike, fly, run or waltz across the nearest border.
2)    Get a legitimate job, pay your taxes and be an asset to society rather than a burden.
3)    Apply for citizenship, learn about this country and its history and become an American citizen. (Not some variety of hyphenated American.)

My ancestors immigrated legally as did many others – what is so hard about that? Anything worth doing is worth doing right…

I’m just sayin’.

Very interesting read on the heels of D’OhBama’s buddy Calderon denouncing the Arizona immigration law. Perhaps he should look to how Mexico handles its own southern borders? Then he has the audacity to attempt to dictate US policy on firearms. Does he seriously think that it’s United States manufactured NFA weapons that are somehow flowing south to arrive in the hands of the druglords he can’t control?

Mexico is angry? You people want to buy a clue? America is ANGRY. Do I claim to speak for all of America? Not at all – there are plenty of progressive entitlement whores that will sell their souls for a piece of that gub’ment cheese.

But let me tell you something, Skippy. The backbone of America (the working taxpayer) is sick and tired. Sick and tired of entitlements, government giveaways and politicians that talk out of both sides of their mouths and their asses simultaneously. Sick of a constant deluge of illegals crossing our borders. Want to live in what used to be the greatest country in the world? Come here legally and shoulder your part of the load. Be a productive member of society rather than a burden on an already overtaxed infrastructure. Pay your taxes, learn the language – be an American – not some kind of hyphenated-American.

I stand with Arizona – and the currently unenforced federal immigration law.
